Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

At what age can my child sign up with netzroller?

We have no specific age requirement for children; however, the recommended minimum age is 4 years.

Does my child need any prior experience?

No prior experience is required. We’ll introduce your child to ball sports in a fun, playful way.

How do I find the right training group and skill level?

At the start, we conduct a 10–15-minute playful assessment: movement and ball familiarization, initial basic stroke motions (especially throwing/hitting), a simplified serve, and short, child-friendly rallies on a small court with soft balls. This helps us quickly determine the right group, learning level, and court size.

Do you offer a trial session?

Yes! You can let your child try it out for free for 4 weeks — small groups, rackets are provided on-site. Just register briefly and you’re good to go.

On which days of the week and at what times does training take place?

From Monday to Saturday, there’s action for kids.
We’re happy to arrange the time individually by phone or directly on site.

Do you offer private lessons alongside group sessions?

Train together, grow faster. We focus on group training.
In group sessions, your child practices communication, makes friends, and experiences tennis with joy. We’re also happy to offer one-on-one lessons on request.

Do training sessions take place during school holidays/public holidays?

During school holidays and on public holidays, our courses take a break.
Because children’s joy is close to our hearts, we offer caring, well-supervised tennis camps during the holidays.

How much does the course cost per month?

Prices and details can be found in the “Services” section.
We’ve also compiled all the key information and documents for you there.
If you have any questions, we’re happy to help by phone or email.

What equipment is required (racket, shoes, clothing)?
  • Rackets: We provide loaner rackets free of charge. You’re welcome to bring your own racket, too.

  • Outdoor shoes (clay): Tennis or all-court shoes with a textured sole (e.g., herringbone pattern) for good traction on clay.

  • Indoor shoes (hall/carpet): Clean, non-marking indoor shoes with a smooth sole. Please no street shoes and no black, marking soles.

  • Clothing: Comfortable, breathable sportswear; in winter, a light layer for warming up if needed.

  • Accessories: Water bottle and a small towel; in sunny outdoor conditions, a cap and sunscreen.

What training methodology/philosophy do you follow?

We follow a holistic training philosophy that bridges recreational and competitive sport—welcoming to beginners and supportive for the ambitious.

  • Training together: Community is at the heart of what we do—for motivation, fun, and commitment.

  • Individually tailored: Ability-based groups, clear structures, with personal goals in focus.

  • Versatile & sustainable: Technique, strength/endurance, coordination, and mobility—for long-term health and performance.

  • Performance-oriented impulses: For those who want them, we provide targeted content for competitions and specific performance goals.

What qualifications do the coaches have?

Our coaches hold B and C licenses.
This ensures qualified, age-appropriate instruction at every level.

How do you handle children’s health and safety?

Especially when it comes to children, safety and health are our top priority!

We stop play immediately and speak to the child calmly.
In cases of severe pain, deformity, head/neck injury, unconsciousness, breathing difficulty, severe bleeding, or inability to bear weight, we immediately call emergency services.
We treat minor injuries with 10–15 minutes of cooling, rest, light compression, and elevation; we clean and cover abrasions we cover.
We inform parents promptly and briefly document what happened and which measures we took.
Returning to the field happens only gradually and pain-free.
For prevention, we ensure 8–10 minutes of age-appropriate warm-up, practice safe landings and changes of direction, and make sure equipment is suitable and drink breaks are taken.

Principle: Health always comes first!

Does training take place in rain/heat/cold?

As a rule, we train outdoors during the summer months (from mid-March to the end of September). In cases of extreme heat, persistent rain, or very low temperatures, we suspend training or move to the indoor court—children’s health is our top priority. We’ll inform you of any changes in good time on the training day via the WhatsApp team chat.

How and when do you inform about cancellations?

We’ll notify you via our WhatsApp chat and, in bad weather, we’ll try to let you know as early as possible.

Are there make-up sessions?

Yes, we offer make-up sessions. We will inform you personally or via WhatsApp.

Where can you park or pick up, and what bus and train connections are available?

You can park right by the district sports complex in the nearest parking bays; parking there is free. By public transport, you can reach us via the U75 light rail and bus lines 805, 810, 815, 701, 721, 722, 724, 734, and 736 towards Lierenfeld. The nearest street is Posener Straße; from there it’s about a 7-minute walk to the club. Bicycles can be parked directly at the club.

Are there changing rooms available?

Changing rooms are available in the hall as well as outside next to the clubhouse.
